يجتمع وزراء أوروبيون وأفارقة في مصر لأجل مناقشة قضية الهجرة بمناسبة الذكرى العاشرة لـ”عملية الخرطوم”. يهتم الجانبان بمكافحة الهجرة غير النظامية وتهريب البشر وفي الوقت ذاته دعم الهجرة الآمنة والنظامية على طول طرق الهجرة.
وضعت ألمانيا أسسًا مهمة لتعزيز سبل الهجرة القانونية من خلال قانون هجرة العمالة الماهرة ورقمنة التأشيرات.
ونظراً لأن أكبر أزمة لاجئين إنسانية في العالم تواجهها حاليًا دولة السودان المجاورة لمصر، فمن المهم أن نحشد الجهود الدولية في مؤتمر السودان الذي سيعقد في لندن خلال أيام قليلة. وسيكون هذا أيضًا موضوع محادثاتي.
وتظل حماية حقوق الإنسان، والامتثال للقانون الدولي للاجئين، بما في ذلك اتفاقية جنيف للاجئين، والتعاون مع المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين، جوهر عملنا.
